IDA Design Group (“IDA”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is an architecture and interior design studio based in Sydney, Australia. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

This policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information through our website at idadesigngroup.com.au and in the course of our business.

2. What we collect

When you submit an enquiry through our website, we may collect:

• Your name, email address and contact number
• Your company name, ABN and ACN (where provided)
• Details of your proposed project, including the site address, lot and deposited plan numbers, postcode, local council area and type of proposal

When you browse our website, we may collect technical information through cookies and similar technologies (with your consent), including your approximate location, device and browser type, pages visited and how you interact with the site. See section 5 (Cookies and analytics) below.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive information (such as health or biometric information) through this website, and we ask that you do not include it in your enquiry.

3. How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you when you submit our enquiry form, email us, call us or otherwise contact us. Website enquiries are transmitted to us by Web3Forms, a third-party form delivery service. Technical and analytics information is collected automatically through cookies where you have consented.

4. Why we collect it

We collect and use your personal information to:

• Respond to your enquiry and assess your proposed project
• Provide our architecture and interior design services
• Communicate with you about your project or enquiry
• Understand how our website is used and improve it
• Comply with our legal and professional obligations

We will only send you marketing communications with your consent, and you may opt out at any time using the unsubscribe facility in the communication or by contacting us.

5. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics uses cookies that collect information such as your device, browser, approximate location and pages visited. This information is aggregated and does not directly identify you.

Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them via the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, analytics cookies are not set. You can also clear or block cookies through your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. To change a choice you have already made, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will appear again.

Our enquiry form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which collects hardware and software information to distinguish humans from automated abuse. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

6. Who we disclose it to

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose personal information to:

• Our employees and contractors who need it to respond to your enquiry or deliver our services, including staff in our Philippines studio
• Service providers that support our website and business, including Web3Forms (form delivery) and Google (analytics and reCAPTCHA)
• Professional advisers, consultants and authorities where required for a project (for example, local councils) with your knowledge
• Anyone else where required or authorised by law

7. Overseas disclosure

Some of the parties above are located, or store information, outside Australia. In particular, Google and Web3Forms may process information in the United States and other countries, and our studio staff in the Philippines may access enquiry details. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

8. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. Enquiry information is delivered to our business email and stored on our systems, which are protected by access controls. We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law, after which we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

9. Access and correction

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period. In limited circumstances permitted by the Privacy Act we may refuse access, in which case we will tell you why.

10. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us first using the details below and we will investigate and respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or by phone on 1300 363 992.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with the date it was last updated.
